The Smart Arena platform offers a powerful Authoring Tool designed to create engaging and dynamic learning experiences. Among its standout features are the interactive elements, which enable course creators to enhance user engagement and interactivity within their content. These elements allow for creative ways to present information, assess learning progress, and encourage participation.
To create a Word/Sentence Puzzle question in Smart Arena, follow these step
1. Drag and drop the Puzzle onto the canvas.
2. Add puzzle pairs: In the Puzzle left and Puzzle right boxes, enter the items you want to match. Each pair can represent one correct match.
Keep each entry within 250 characters to avoid text truncation with ellipses, as this can impact readability.
Add pairs by clicking Add pair. It's recommended to use a maximum of 5 pairs to ensure that all options fit on a standard screen without requiring scrolling. Having all pairs visible on one screen improves usability and makes the activity easier for users to complete.
Once all pairs are added and any images included, click Save and back to assessments to save the puzzle question and return to the assessment overview.
This type of question is ideal for matching tasks, such as pairing terms with definitions, words with translations, or dates with historical events. By keeping entries concise and ensuring all pairs are visible on one screen, you create an effective and engaging matching exercise for learners.
