A subdomain is a customizable URL that is appended to the primary domain, allowing organizations to create a personalized and branded web address for their platform. In Smart Arena, the subdomain can be set, providing users with a unique and easy-to-recognize access point to the platform.
By specifying a custom subdomain, organizations enhance their professional image and ensure alignment with their branding. If no custom subdomain is created, the platform remains accessible through the default subdomain provided by Smart Arena.
Setting a subdomain
You can view the Subdomain setting under the Personalization tab in the Organization Management section. This subdomain determines the URL through which users can access the organization's customized platform.
Key points about the subdomain functionality:
Custom Subdomain Creation: The organization can specify a unique subdomain (e.g., "amazing" in the example), which is appended to the default domain (esmartarena.com), resulting in a personalized URL. The subdomain can only be created by the SmartArena support team. You can send your request with a subdomain name and our team will create it for you.
If no subdomain is set, the application will remain accessible through the default subdomain provided by Smart Arena.
Important!
Once a subdomain is set, it cannot be changed. If changes are made after activities have already been launched, issues may arise because content links are tied to the original domain. This could redirect users to the default login screen instead of the intended subdomain login. While the links may still function, they will not route to the correct domain-based login.
If the subdomain is changed later, backward compatibility of the links is lost, as the original subdomain no longer exists.
