The Smart Arena platform offers a powerful Authoring Tool designed to create engaging and dynamic learning experiences. Among its standout features are the interactive elements, which enable course creators to enhance user engagement and interactivity within their content. These elements allow for creative ways to present information, assess learning progress, and encourage participation.
The Popup interactive element in Smart Arena allows you to add pop-up text to your course content, which can help draw attention to specific information or provide detailed visuals without overwhelming the main content.
1. Add an image
Start by clicking the Upload image button to add an image you want to use.
2. Organize popup content
After uploading the image, you can arrange the popups by clicking on a chosen place on the image. Numbered squares should appear. You can drag them around to reposition them or click the x button to delete them.
To modify the content in the squares add basic elements to the corresponding resource brackets below. You can then enter text or images that will be displayed once the user clicks on the popup.
3. Save and test
Once you have uploaded and arranged all the popups, save your changes. Test the popup feature in preview mode to ensure it appears as intended and enhances the learning experience.
Popups are particularly useful for presenting supplementary information, details, or visual aids without cluttering the main course content. They allow learners to engage with extra material on demand, making the learning process more interactive and visually appealing. This feature can improve focus, as popups highlight information at specific points in the course, helping learners retain critical details.
Example
This is how a Popup interactive add-on looks to a learner. When they click on the lightning bulb the entered text appears.
