Updated over 5 months ago

The Smart Arena platform offers a powerful Authoring Tool designed to create engaging and dynamic learning experiences. Among its standout features are the interactive elements, which enable course creators to enhance user engagement and interactivity within their content. These elements allow for creative ways to present information, assess learning progress, and encourage participation.

The Drag & Drop picture interactive element in Smart Arena allows you to create engaging activities where learners can interact with images by dragging and dropping items onto specific areas of the picture. This tool is ideal for reinforcing visual learning, testing knowledge on spatial relations, or having learners identify parts of a diagram or image.

How to use Drag&Drop picture

First, in the authoring tool select a layout, and drag and drop the Drag&drop picture bracket, which you can find under interactive elements into your canvas.

1. Upload image

Start by clicking the Upload image button to add the base image you want to use for the drag-and-drop activity.

2. Define drag & drop areas

Once the image is uploaded, you can use the Resources section to add elements like Text or Image for learners to drag onto the picture. These need to be placed onto particular spots that relate to the content, like labeling parts of a diagram or highlighting specific areas. To add them click Text or Image, then use the four-sided arrow button to move them around. Delete them by clicking on the x button

When you have placed the elements, write the corresponding text into the placeholders or add an image.

The Drag & Drop Picture feature enhances interactivity by allowing learners to engage directly with images, making the learning experience more immersive. It’s especially effective for visual-based content, such as matching terms with processes, or sorting items into categories on an image.
