How to reset a user password as an administrator

In Smart Arena, administrators can change a user’s password. This functionality is crucial for maintaining security and accessibility within the platform. Whether a user has forgotten their password, is locked out of their account, or needs a reset for security reasons, administrators can step in to quickly resolve the issue and restore access.

  1. In the left-hand menu, go to the User Overview tab under User management and click on the name of the user whose password you want to change.

  2. Click Edit profile in the upper right corner to enter the users' information form.

3. Write a new password in both password fields.

4. Inform the user about the new password and ask them to change it for privacy reasons.

The user can also request a link to change their password by themselves by clicking Forgot password on the login page.

The user will receive a link to change their password to the email they entered in the field.

Resetting a user’s password in Smart Arena can be necessary in several scenarios. For example, if a user forgets their password and cannot access their account, administrators can reset it to restore access. Similarly, password resets may be required if a user’s account is suspected of being compromised, ensuring security is maintained. This feature provides a reliable way for administrators to address access issues swiftly while maintaining platform security and usability.
