Assessments are a powerful tool for enhancing the learning experience and evaluating knowledge retention in Smart Arena. By integrating evaluation into your content, you provide learners with an opportunity to reinforce their understanding while giving administrators valuable insights into their progress.
To set up an assessment for a content, go to Content management segment in the navigation menu and open the Content overview tab.
Use the search bar or manually locate the content you want to add certification to.
Hover over the content card for buttons to appear.
4. Click on Assessment to open the form.
1. Required information about the assessment
Follow these steps to create a content assessment for learners to complete after their e-course in Smart Arena.
1.1 Number of questions on the assessment: Enter the total number of questions you want to display in the assessment. This is a required field.
Make sure you check this again when you have written all your questions. If this field does not match the number of questions created, you won't be able to save the assessment.
1.2 Pass Score: Define the score learners need to achieve to pass the assessment. This is also required.
The pass score ensures that learners demonstrate a minimum level of understanding before being certified or allowed to progress to the next module in case of a multicourse.
This score can also be tailored to reflect the complexity and importance of the course objectives, with higher scores for compliance training and lower ones for introductory topics.
1.3 Minimum Score for Retake: Set the minimum score required for learners to be eligible to retake the assessment if they do not pass on their first attempt. This field is optional, especially if you have set a limited retake number.
Setting a minimum score for retakes encourages learners to put effort into their first attempt, knowing they need to meet a threshold to qualify for a retake. This setting ensures only learners who demonstrate partial understanding are eligible to retake the test, avoiding misuse of retake opportunities.
1.4 Max Time (in Minutes): Specify the maximum time allowed for learners to complete the assessment. This is a required field. Ensure the time limit is appropriate for the number of questions and difficulty level.
The maximum time limit ensures all learners have a consistent and fair opportunity to complete the assessment. It can be adjusted to match the complexity and number of questions, such as allowing 30 minutes for a 10-question test. Time limits also simulate real-world conditions, making them ideal for training scenarios where quick thinking or time management is critical, such as in customer service or emergency response.
Make sure you allocate enough time for more complex questions.
1.5 Display questions: Choose how the questions will be displayed. This is a required field. You have two options.
Show all questions on one page: All questions will be presented on a single page.
Show one question per page: Questions will appear one at a time, allowing learners to focus on one question before moving to the next.
1.6 The last two fields to fill out are the introduction and end of assessment.
Introduction to the Assessment: Use this field to add an introduction or instructions for the assessment. This will help learners understand the assessment’s purpose and any specific rules or tips they should know before starting.
End of Assessment: Here, you can write a closing message or additional instructions for learners after they finish the assessment. This message can include information on when they’ll see their results or next steps if they passed or need to retake the assessment.
8. After filling in all required fields, click Create in the bottom right corner to finalize the assessment setup.
2. Creating assessment questions
After clicking Create, you will be transferred to the page where you can create the assessment questions.

Drag and Drop on Picture is an interactive format ideal for visual learning, such as labeling diagrams or matching items to their correct representations.
2. Create the Question:
Once you have selected the desired question type, click on Create question.
A new window or form will open, allowing you to enter the question text, answer options, and any additional instructions or hints for learners.
The available question types include:
