Creating a survey in Smart Arena is valuable for gathering feedback, measuring user satisfaction, and assessing the effectiveness of courses. Surveys help organizations understand the needs and experiences of learners, enabling them to make data-driven improvements. They are also a powerful tool for collecting insights to refine training programs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
To create a new Survey, which you can later add to a course, first go to Content Management in the navigation menu and open the Survey tab.
Creating a new survey
To create a new survey, click Add button.
Fill in the survey title
In the Title field, enter the name of your survey.
Use the Language dropdown menu to set the language for the survey.
Enable the Each question on its own page toggle if you prefer questions to appear one at a time.
Click the + Create button to save and proceed with adding questions to your survey.
Creating survey questions
Once you have created a new survey, below the space for creating questions will appear. In the Survey Questions section locate the Question Type dropdown menu. Choose the type of question you want to add from the following options:
Single Answer: Allows the respondent to select one answer from a list of options.

Write the question in the Question text box. Turn on the toggle if you want the question to be required. To add multiple answers click the Add answer button. Write an answer in each field you create, to delete answer fields, use the trash can icon.
Here is an example of a single-answer question:

Write the question in the Question text box. Turn on the toggle if you want the question to be required. To add Rows, write out the information for the first row, then click the checkmark. This will open the next row below. The same system works for adding Columns.

Once each question is configured, don't forget to click the Save button to add it to the survey.
Additional actions
By using the navigation bar at the top right of the questions you are managing the entire survey. You can delete (trash can icon), duplicate (duplicate icon) and upload (cloud icon) it. To preview the icon click Preview. If you want to move the questions around, drag and drop them in the right place. When you are finished editing the survey, click the green Save button.
When a survey is published, a green checkmark will be visible in the Publish column of the Surveys table.
