Duplicating content in Smart Arena is a useful feature for administrators who need to reuse existing materials without altering the original. This functionality is particularly useful for creating variations of a course for different user groups, updating outdated content while preserving the original version, or quickly replicating templates for consistency across multiple courses. This feature saves time and ensures efficiency in managing and customizing course materials to meet diverse organizational needs
To duplicate the content, follow these steps:
Go to Content Management and select Content Overview from the sidebar.
Locate the content you wish to duplicate, use the search bar if necessary.
Hover over the course card to reveal action icons at the bottom.
Click on the Duplicate icon (represented by two overlapping squares in the bottom right corner of the content card).
Configure duplication settings
When duplicating content in Smart Arena, you can choose to duplicate specific elements.
Duplicate content data includes the title, categories, images, video files, and other content details.
Duplicate authors copies the content authors.
Duplicate the last working draft content replicates the most recent draft from the authoring tool (the newest unpublished version of the content).
Duplicate certificate data includes a copy of certificate settings.
Duplicate assessment data copies assessment settings.
6. A confirmation message will appear. If any errors should occur, they will be written here as such:
Click OK on the confirmation message to close the pop-up. Your content will now be duplicated with the selected settings, and you can locate it in the content list once the duplication process is complete.
The original and the copy are distinguished by the fact that the copy has "- copy" added to the title.
