Creating new content
Content in the Smart Arena application is organized and prepared using the content creation tool. Click on the Content management section and then on Content Overview. Here, you can view all content they’ve created.
To create new content, click the Create Content button or the Create Content link in the left menu. This opens the cover page form.
The cover page is important as it provides the user’s first impression of the content.
Content Description
The first section to complete is the Content Description. Enter the title and a short description, which acts as a subtitle or summary. This appears on the content card in the overview and under the course title on the main page. Then, add a longer description detailing the target audience, content goals, and learning outcomes.
Basic Information
In the Basic Information section, estimate the Duration of the course (considering each course step takes 3–5 minutes, with 1–2 minutes per quiz question). You can choose a content category. You can also select difficulty level.
Select the language of the content, which indicates the language used in the course material (this does not change the course interface language).
Add a Content Image (thumbnail) of 458x334 pixels, which appears in My Courses and on the course page. Upload the image by dragging it into the field or selecting it. You can edit or delete it using the pencil or trash icons. You can also include a Demo Video summarizing or previewing the course. Upload the video by clicking Upload Video. The video can be replaced or deleted if needed.
Additional Information
In Additional Information, specify prerequisites, content goals, and the target audience for the course. Multiple items can be added under each category by entering text and clicking Add, and items can be removed with the cross icon.
Defining content requirements, goals, and target audience can greatly enhance the effectiveness of a course. By clearly outlining Content requirements, you ensure learners have the necessary skills and knowledge to fully benefit from the material.
Setting Content goals provides clarity on the skills and knowledge learners will acquire by the end, helping them stay focused and motivated.
Lastly, identifying the Target audience ensures that the content is tailored to meet the needs of specific user groups, making the learning experience more relevant and impactful. These simple steps can make a big difference in the success of your training programs!
When finished with the cover page, scroll to the bottom and click Create to proceed to Content Overview, where you can start editing and developing the content.
