Manage notifications when for an e-course

Setting up notifications for a course is possible as Step 5 in the e-Course creation process. To enable any notification, locate the option and activate the switch next to it. Once enabled, users will receive these updates based on their course activity.

Possible notifications are:

Purpose of the notification

Course Started

Notifies the enrolled users when the course begins.

Course Expired

Informs the enrolled users when the course period has ended.

Course Duration Changed

Notifies the enrolled users if there’s a change in the course start or end date.

Enrolled in Course

Alerts users upon enrollment.

Access Finished

Notifies the enrolled users when access to the course ends.

Course Completed

Sends a notification once the course is completed.

Content Updated

Alerts users of updates to course content.

Additional Material Added

Notifies the enrolled users when extra material is uploaded.

Live Session Added

Notifies the enrolled users when a live session is scheduled.

Live Session Changed

Informs the enrolled users of any changes in live session details.

Certificate Acquired

Notifies the enrolled users when a certificate is awarded.

Certificate Expired

Alerts the enrolled users on the date when certificate validity expires.

Assessment Score

Sends the assessment score to the user.

Course Starting Soon

Notifies the enrolled users a day before the course begins.

Course Ending Soon

Sends a reminder three days before the course ends.

Access Starting Soon

Notifies the enrolled users a day before access to the course starts.

Access Ending Soon

Alerts a day before access expires.

Certificate Expires Soon

Notifies a day before the certificate expires.

Live Session Reminder

Sends a reminder a day before a live session.

Live Session Removed

Informs if a live session is removed.

Sends progress updates based on user milestones.

Catch up with Colleagues

Encourages reaching average progress level.

Complete Your Course Reminder

Sent if progress is below a certain level.

Falling Behind

Notifies if many others have completed the course and the user hasn’t.

Conditions Met

Notifies the admin when the user meets specific conditions.

Conditions Failed

Alerts the admin if the user fails to meet conditions.

Course Completed (Instructor)

Notifies the instructor when a user completes the course.

Survey Invitation

Notifies to complete a survey after finishing the course.

Setting up notifications during e-course creation is a powerful tool for enhancing user engagement, improving communication, and streamlining course management. Notifications ensure that everyone involved is kept informed about key course events, such as start and end dates, progress updates, live session changes, and certificate availability. This level of communication helps learners stay on track, complete their courses on time, and remain motivated throughout their learning journey.
