After adding live sessions (see live sessions) you can set up the notifications the users will receive before, during, and after the live course. Turn on the toggle to enable the notification.
The toggle at the top of the notifications list turns on all notifications.
Possible notifications include:
Notification Name | Description |
The course has just started! | Notifies users when the course becomes accessible. |
Your course expired! | Alerts users when the course has ended and content is no longer accessible. |
The course duration has been changed! | Informs users when the course start or end date has been altered. |
You were enrolled in a course! | Notifies users when they are successfully enrolled in a course. |
You have lost access to the course. | If user is enrolled in a course with limited access to course content (General -> Access Days From Start option set) user will receive this notification when access to course expires. |
You have successfully completed the course! | Users will receive this notification when they achieve requirements for course completion. This includes complete progress on course content and optionally successfully passed course assessment and manual course completion confirmation. |
Course content has been updated! | Informs users when changes are made to the course content. |
Additional course material added. | Notifies users when new material is added to the course. |
A live session has been added to your course! | Alerts users when a new live session is added. |
Course live session changed! | Informs users of changes to existing live session details. |
You have successfully acquired a certificate! | Notifies users of successful course completion with certification. |
Your certificate has expired. | Alerts users when their certificate validity has ended. |
Your assessment score. | Notifies users about their score after completing an assessment attempt. |
Your course is about to begin. | Notifies users a day before the course starts. |
The course will end soon! | Alerts users that the course will finish soon, typically 3 days prior. |
You can now access the course! | Notifies users when access to the course begins. |
Your course will end soon. | Informs users about the upcoming end of a course with limited access. |
Your certificate is about to expire! | Alerts users a few days before their certificate expires. |
Live session reminder! | Sends a reminder a day before any scheduled live session. |
You are halfway there! | Encourages users when they reach 50% of course progress. |
Catch up with your colleagues! | Motivates users if average progress exceeds a threshold and they are behind. |
Don't forget to complete your course! | Reminds users if their course progress is below a set percentage and time is running out. |
You are falling behind! | Alerts users when many others have completed the course but they have not. |
Statement confirmation. | Notifies users when an instructor confirms their statement. |
Statement approver. | Notifies users when they are selected as the statement approver. |
Conditions met. | Notifies admins when a user meets specific course conditions. |
Conditions failed. | Notifies admins when a user fails to meet course conditions. |
User completed the course. | Informs the instructor when a user successfully completes the course. |
Course live session removed! | Alerts users when a previously scheduled live session is removed. |
Survey invitation | Invites users to complete a survey related to the course. |
Notifications will be sent via email to each enrolled user, all notifications will also be visible in the notification hub in Smart Arena.
