The Progress Status feature in the Reporting module provides an overview of users' course participation by displaying their current progress in the Status column. This feature helps track learning milestones, offering clarity on whether users are enrolled, actively participating, or have completed the course requirements. By understanding these statuses, administrators can monitor learner progress and take appropriate actions to ensure course completion and certification.
The Progress Status process tracks a user’s journey through an e-course, providing clear visibility into their learning progress. It begins with the Enrolled stage, indicating the user was enrolled but has not started the course. Once the user begins their course, their status changes to In Progress. If they fail to meet the course requirements, their status moves to Conditions Failed. Upon completing all components, content, and an assessment (if applied), the status updates to Completed, and if they receive a certificate (if applied) the course advances to Certified. This process ensures administrators can monitor and support users throughout their learning journey.
Conditions failed
The Conditions Failed status is assigned when a learner does not meet the required conditions to complete the course. This may occur for the following reasons:
Reason for failed conditions | Explanation | Action |
Course Access Expired | The course duration has ended, and the course is no longer active. | / |
Assessment Unsuccessful | The course content was reviewed, but the learner failed the assessment after using all available attempts. | The administrator can delete assessment attempts, so the user can take the assessment again. |
Assessment not Attempted | The learner did not attempt the required assessment. | The administrator can extend the users' access to the course for them to complete the assessment. |
Access Period Expired | The access period for the e-course has passed without the learner fulfilling the completion requirements. | The administrator can extend the access period. |
Content Not Reviewed
| The learner did not review the course content as required. | The administrator can extend the users' access to the course for them to view the content. |
The Progress Status feature is an essential tool for monitoring learner progress and ensuring successful course completion. By understanding each stage of the process, administrators can provide targeted support and interventions where needed.
