When you have finished step 2 by managing users (see Manage users), the next step is to set live sessions.
The third step in live course creation, titled Live sessions, allows course creators to create live sessions for classroom-based training. In this step, you can set the session's location, time, and select users to attend. Notifications will automatically be sent to each selected user, indicating which sessions they must attend. A reminder for the live session will also appear in the user’s calendar under their profile overview.
1. Click Add live session to create and configure live sessions for the course.
Adding a live session
Start by entering the session Title in the provided text box. Next, select the session date and time using the From and To fields, choosing the start and end times and the calendar date.
Optionally, enter the session Duration in hours and specify any break times in the Breaks (min) field.
Use the toggle to indicate if the session is Regular (60 min) or School (45 min) in length.
To complete the form, enter the Location address in the provided field. Use the map to confirm or adjust the location if needed.
Add any additional Notes in the designated text box, and input the Instructor name in the respective field if there are different instructors allocated to each live session.
Once all details are filled in, click the Add button to save the information.
Repeat the process to add all the live sessions.
The sessions might not be visible right away. Don't refresh the page as this resets the course completely and you'll have to start from the beginning. Add all live sessions and click Create. This way all your information will be saved.
To manage live sessions, review the table listing all sessions. Each row includes the Title, From and To times, Location, and Instructor details.
Use the Actions column to Delete, Edit, or Duplicate any session as needed. To add a new session, click the Add live session button at the top. After making changes, click Save to confirm, or use Cancel to discard changes.
Once you have entered all the live sessions, the next step in Live course creation is setting up notifications. See Notifications.
